Character steps from three different countries have been added to the syllabus to offer additional knowledge. Hungarian, Russian and Polish steps are learnt throughout the grades studying one country at a time.
It has been designed to introduce national dancing that are in traditional ballets such as Swan Lake and the Nutcracker to the pupils. The professional ballerina perform dances from different countries as well as classical ballet.
Free movement is designed to add a more relaxed dimension to dance where good line, relaxation, stretch, breathing, impulse and lift of the body and natural turnout are the important factor. Self expression and dance quality to music is essential to compliment technical aspects of classical ballet.
